This is New York City – Incredible Cityscapes by Johannes Heuckeroth
- By: Guest Author
While German designer and photographer Johannes Heuckeroth was in New York City, he took some incredible photos of the skylines and architecture. His aerial perspectives and panoramas capture the grandeur of this city of cities. At the same time, the pictures present an idealized image that presents a beauty and clarity that are more vivid than reality.
This is part of Johannes’ aesthetic style. “The central essence of my photographic work is the search for beauty,” he says. “I am searching for this beauty all over the world in architecture, land- and cityscapes. I want to create and share my interpretation of reality. A visually more intensive reality. A parallel reality.”
Looking at his pictures from day to nighttime makes you feel as if you’ve spent a day in the New York enjoying the amazing views and architecture.

Great job! Great point of view and lens selection as well as awesome post processing. A
Definitely awe-inspiring, beautiful images of New York City. I particularly enjoyed Johannes’s use of light on several of the shots. The Sun can create a tricky conundrum, but he certainly uses it to produce dream-like, amazing photos. Very inspirational.
