Urban Geometry – Photos of Tallinn’s Architecture by Andrés Gallardo Albajar

Andrés Gallardo Albajar is a Spanish amateur photographer who currently resides in Tallinn, Estonia. He’s still experimenting with different types of photography but has started an interesting project with “Urban Geometry“. The project is a study of the urban transformation of Tallinn from a Soviet city to a modern one.

“The idea of the project came basically by paying attention to the modernization of an ex-Soviet city like Tallinn,” says Andrés. “I always had an eye for architecture, since both my parents are architects. One of the buildings is just in front of my office, so I spent hours and hours viewing it through my window. One day I decided to take some pictures of it after work. I liked the results, so I decided to keep looking for modern urban elements that could show the contrast between old Tallinn and modern Tallinn.”
