Even with the red eye function, I get red eyes when shooting pics of Siamese. What techniques do you use to combat this, esp when they are lookign directly at the camera?

Hi Megan, Just saw that a couple of my photos were linked to here, and came across your question. Better late than never. Speaking for myself, I have an external flash on top of my camera that I can rotate and tilt up, so I avoid the red-eye by ‘bouncing’ the flash off a nearby wall or ceiling. If you cant put an external flash on your camera than you have to try and force/turn your flash off and get enough ambient light for a decent shot.
