Gritty Snippets – Street Photography by Michael Ernest Sweet

Michael Ernest Sweet is a Canadian writer and photographer. His street photography is different, even unique, characterized by a high-contrast grittiness and haphazard framing. Michael works the sidewalks and alleys of New York City and the beaches of Coney Island with small compact cameras and goes in close, very close with a 28mm to capture snippets of the human fragment. His first full-length monograph of street photography is coming later this year from Brooklyn Arts Press in New York. Michael divides his time between Montreal and New York City.

You can see more of Michael’s work on his website at www.MichaelSweetPhotography.com or follow his blogging via @28mmphotos on Twitter.

For the first time just now i got to see your photopgraphy and i really like it. I like the geometry on your images and the perception. Im moved by cotidian life and i think you to, so i can enjoy that on you photos as well.
I been taking photos for the last 2 years and each day i try to take it more serious and keep open and trying to expand my vision.
I like if i could get a feedback from you as well.

Congratulations!
